Facilitator Background

 

Bill Graustein is a recovering geophysicist who has been working in the nonprofit sector for the last 20 years. During that time he has created and leads several programs to support the development of leadership and networks for building more inclusive communities (CLPNewHaven.org; CEIO.org). Bill is pleased that he has been able to help diverse groups have more candid and hopeful discussions about what matters most to them and to discover unexpected threads of connection.

 

Anne Fowler was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1986, having spent the previous years obtaining a doctorate, teaching college English, and attending seminary.  She served several parishes in the Boston area, the last and longest for 21 years in Jamaica Plain . She has been an activist and advocate for LGBTQ inclusion, same-sex marriage, and women’s reproductive health and justice. Semi-retired, she serves as a chaplain at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Portland Maine, on the board of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, and as a volunteer at The Telling Room, a non-profit working with kids and writing.

 

Curt Hart was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1973. He has served in congregational settings but has spent the majority of his career in hospital ministry and pastoral care. For 24 years he was the Director of Pastoral Care and Education at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Center. He has taught Medical Ethics for 25 years.Throughout his ordained life, Hart has been involved in both group and individual settings in helping others. He has written articles, book reviews, and book chapters on a variety of topics and for the last eight years has been the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Religion and Health.
